What is Natural Mineral Water?

Natural mineral waters are derived from officially recognised sources and are governed by the Natural Mineral Water Regulations. Prior to recognition as a mineral water, the source must be protected against pollution and be subjected to a hydrogeological survey. The source water must a number of defined microbiological and chemical standards.

Natural mineral water should never be confused with Spring or purified water which is processed tap water.

To achieve a Natural Mineral Water status the water must:

• Be bottled at source
• Have a constant composition
• Not be treated in any way prior to bottling
• Reach the final consumer in its original form

Windsor Natural Mineral water is tested weekly, analysis are available on request. It must be noted that these tests are not source samples and the results are also a reflection of the bottle washing capability.

No contaminations have ever been found, showing that our water is not affected by the heaviest rainfall and as its Natural Mineral Water status suggests can be bottled untreated.

Windsor Natural Mineral Water has no form of antibacterial treatment ie ozonation or ultra violet light treatment is permitted. Ours is a completely natural product.

Our nitrate level of 11mg/l NO3 (2.5 mg/l NO3N) is remarkably low for an English chalk/limestone water.

Why should we drink more water?
